“Ashanti” (1982) was produced and directed by Umesh Mehra. The movie had Rajesh Khanna, Mithun Chakraborty, Zeenat Aman, Parveen Babi,Amrish Puri, Shabana Azmi etc.
Today (29 december 2012) is the 70th birth anniversary of Rajesh Khanna. On this occasion, here is a song from “Ashanti” (1982).
This song is sung by Chandrashekhar Gadgil and chorus and it is picturised on Rajesh Khanna and others as a devotional song.
Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by R D Burman.

..The Listeners
“Is there anybody there?” said the Traveller,
Knocking on the moonlit door;

Now I remember this post. It was the first time I had heard the second song of this singer (first one of course was Dukh sukh ki har ek mala….). Nice voice. Thanks Avinashbhai for reminding.
