Today (1 march 2013) is the 63rd birth anniversary of Amit Khanna. On this occasion, here is a song from “Manpasand” (1980). This movie was produced b y Amit Khanna and directed by Basu Chatterji for the banner of Film Unit. The movie had Dev Anand, Tina Munim, Girish Karnad, Mehmood, Simple Kapadia etc in it.
This song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Tina Munim. The picturisation also shows Leela Mishra who utters a few lines towards the end of the song.
Amit Khanna is the lyricist and music is composed by Rajesh Roshan.

‘Manpasand’ was based on the hit musical film “My Fair Lady”, which in turn was based on ‘Pygmalion’ of George Bernard Shaw. The tune of the song is also a copy from the same film’s song ‘I could have danced all night–‘.
