Chandi Sona (1977), as the name points out at, is a film about treasure hunt on an island. Most probably a desi version of a Hollywood film. Sanjay Khan in his independent ventures favoured R D Burman. Even in this film it is Pancham, who gives the music.
Pancham gives the song an Arabic touch. The sets, the costumes and Parveen Babi’s hint at belly dance give the finishing touches to this Arabian Nights song.
I was surprised to see that no song from this film features here on this blog. With this song, this film also makes it debut on this treasure trove blog. Let us see how much time it needs to get all the songs from this film.
