Ho diljaaniyaan

Posted on: March 19, 2013

“Naach Uthhe Sansaar” (1976) was directed by Yakub Hasan Rizvi. The movie had Shashi Kapoor, Hema Malini, Chandrima Bhaduri, Simi Garewal, Leela Mishra, Rajan Haksar, Aruna Irani, Roopesh Kumar, Rajendranath, Bhushan Tiwari, Ramayan Tiwari etc in it.

Today (18 march 2013) is the 75th birth anniversary of Shashi Kapoor. On this occasion, here is a song from “Naach Uthha Sansaar” (1976). This song is sung by rafi and it is picturised on Shashi Kapoor and others as a dance song.

This song is fact has two parts with somewhat different lyrics and length of the song. In part II one can find the unique spectacle of Leela Mishra, the venerable “Mausi” dancing alongwith others. 🙂

Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Khyati Bhatt.

tujhe bhi pyaar apna nibhaana hoga
janiyaa dil talak mere
nikal kar aangan se aana hoga
phir naache ae

jiya dole mera jinki jhankaaron mein

Waah waah, khyati ji, kya khoobsurat gaana dhoond nikaala hai aapne. I had never heard this one.

Laxmikant pyarelal were famous for these type of song, which were part folk and partly everything and nothing, if you know what i mean. Majrooh’s lyrics are too imaginative and what do I say about Rafi sahab’s singing in this song. It feels as if the whole atmosphere is singing. I was thinking there is chorus singing here but, no chorus is there, only echo is there.

Thanks for finding this song.

Regards.

Dear Nahmji,
Thanks for the words of appreciation. I never had heard this song till I saw this movie few years back. Tab se ye gaana is in my “playful songs” category. Just like you have said, all these factors- actor, picturization, words, music and RAFI SAAB’S VOICE makes it a perfect playful song. Ye gaane ki dhun se LP ki “Patthat ke Sanam” ke gaane yaad aa gaye.
