“Bhayaanak” (1979) was a C grade so called suspense movie. The movie was produced by A V Mohan and directed by S U Saiyed. The movie had Mithun Chakraborthy, Ranjeetha kaur(Special appearance),Sadhu Mehar, Nilu Phule, C S Dubey,Jagadeesh Raj, Chandrashekhar, Mushthaq Merchant, Om Shivpuri, Sharad Saxena(Guest), Jyoti Rana etc in it.
Much like the C grade movies of the golden era, this C grade movie also had some wonderful songs in it.
Here is a song from this movie which I had heard a lot, but without being aware of its details. This melodious song is sung by Hemlata. She mostly sang under the music direction of Ravindra Jain. The music of this song sounds quite like Ravinda Jain, but in reality it is composed by Usha Khanna. Indeewar is the lyricist.
This song is a nice rain song and this song is better heard than watched. In case one must watch the song, then it is picturised on Ranjeeta and Mithun Chakraborty.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra. He had noted down the lyrics of this rain song in rainy season in keeping with the mood of the song. 🙂

correction in the 2nd stanza:
“Toote nahin SEEMA kahin”
Another correction:in the 3rd stanza
“Mann pe rahaa na koyee zor”
