Song-Mere sarkaar tere ishq ki duniya ko salaam (Laila Majnu)(1953) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Shakeel Badayuni, MD-Ghulam Mohammad

Lyrics(Provided by Khyati Bhatt)

mere sarkar tere ishq ki duniya ko salaam
mere sarkar tere ishq ki duniya ko salaam
chal diye ham tere majboor tamanna ko salaam
mere sarkar tere ishq ki duniya ko salaam

mere gamkhwaar ho allah nigehbaan tera
haan
mere gamkhwaar ho allah nigehbaan tera
umra bhar dil se juda hoga na armaan tera
haay
armaan tera
mere maalik mere aakaa mere shaidaa ko salaam
chal diye ham tere majboor tamanna ko salaam
mere sarkar tere ishq ki duniya ko salaam

seene mein dard ka toofaan liye jaate hain
haay
seene mein dard ka toofaan liye jaate hain
dil ke behlaane ka saamaan liye jaate hain
saamaan liye jaate hai
ek beemaari muhabbat ka maseehaa ko salaam
chal diye ham tere majboor tamanna ko salaam
mere sarkar tere ishq ki duniya ko salaam

Thanks Atul for this song, was not finding it for a long time. More importantly this comment is to bring to your attention that there will be people born before 1951, like me who was born in 1947. Please update this information and also ensure that the years go beyond 1951 in the fill-up form

There is oft repeated groan that Asha did not get chances for singing for the leading ladies of yore and that she had to sing mostly cabaret/shady songs. I have always begged to differ. This is one example. There are umpteen examples.
