“Sanjog” (1972) was Produced by Mohan Segal and directed by S S Balan. The movie had Amitabh Bachchan, Mala Sinha, Aruna Irani, Johnny Walker, Ramesh Deo, Malika, Madan Puri, Nazir Hussain, Sulochana Chatterji, Keshto Mukherjee, Jagdish Raaj, C S Dubey, Master Ratan, Chandrima Bhaduri, Indrani, Baby Indra
This movie had come at the stage when movies with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead used to flop at the box office like clockwork and he was running out of time as an actor.
In fact I was not aware of this movie even though this movie came at a time when I was a precocious kid who knew about most movies that used to get released during those days.
In fact I was not even aware of the existence of the song under discussion. But the other regulars of this blog were more aware of this song. Santosh Ojha, my contemporary in such matters recently expressed his surprise that this song was not yet included in the blog. And when I checked up, I found that the lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra some time back, so he too was aware of this song. 🙂
Here is this nice song from “Sanjog” (1972). It is sung by Kishore Kumar and it is picturised on Amitabh Bachchan and Mala Sinha. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by R D Burman.

This movie was a remake of tamil movie “Iru Kodugal” and later in 80`s it was remade by K.Balchander in Kannada as “Yeradu Rekhegalu(2 lines)”(The story of a man torn between love of two women-Hero`s first love/wife, returns to his life as a Lady boss/Tehsildar/District Commissioner.
