It is a beautiful song, saw for the first time today.
Seeing this ‘ kaaga ‘ has reminded me of another ‘kaaga’ song on Asha Parekh. I tried to find it on youtube, but the song is not available there. The song is a sad song from some ‘art’ or parallel cinema film, the name i dont remember. The song is :
kaaga mera ek kaam karna
tu kabhi mere pritam ki gali se guzarna ….

Lovely song! I remember some songs for their melody, others for the association of places, etc., and this one reminds me of my grandmother and the time we went to her place on an unplanned visit from Bangalore. She always said that when a crow caws, unexpected visitors will arrive, and apparently a crow had been cawing outside her kitchen that morning and she had been wondering who was going to come, when she heard the door opening and our voices after that. Personally, I think she forgot to feed the crow on time and he was reminding her about it, noisily, but this song always reminds me of that occasion. We don’t have too many crows here any more, but I still think of her and this song when I hear one cawing, and ask myself who could be coming to my house. Thanks, Atul!

Raj Khosla had picturised 2 different dances for this song & he was not very sure which version should be kept for the final movie! Then finally he had chosen this version. I was fortunate to see both the versions & I think both dances were good!
