“Maa Baap” (1944) is an obscure movie with hardly any details available about it. From the little I have been able to gather about this movie, it seems that it had Nazir Khan, Veena, Rajkumari Shukla, Yakub in it.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is another song from this movie. this song is sung by Amirbai Karnataki and Rajkumari. Roopbani is the lyricist. Music is composed by A R Qureshi.
This must be one of the earliest Hindi songs to use an English phrase as the main line of the song. “Oh I see” must have been quite a popular English phrase in India those days. 🙂
Only the audio of this song is avaialble and so it is difficult to say how and on whom this song was picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
