“Dukhiyaari”(1948) was directed by D K Ratan for Jeevan Jyot Kala Mandir, Bombay. The movie had Surendra, Trilok Kapoor, Meena, Ranjeet Kumari, Cuckoo, Chaand Burque, Majnu, Bhudo Advani, Ramesh Mohan, Chandramohan etc in it.
Here is an obscure song from this obscure movie. This song is sung by Zohrabai Ambalewaali. F M Kaiser is the lyricist who appears to be different from Farooque Kaiser because Farooque Kaiser made his debut as a lyricist in 1949.
Gyan Dutt is the music director.
The YT uploader has mentioned this song as belonging to some movie called “Wasna” which is not correct and the HFGK mentions this song as belonging to “Dukhiyaari” (1948).
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on this movie as well as on the identity of the lyricist of this song.

Thanks for the posting. Strength of the voice of ZA has come out well in this song. The ?? as I heard them sound like:-
1st ?? – dil ko
2nd ?? – usey
3rd ? – mamta is okay
It seems that Vaasna might have been the earlier name of Dukhiyari and some records were released in that name. SLBC played another song from Dukhiyari today, and called the film s Vaasna.
