“Sabse Bada Rupaiyya”(1955) was directed by P L Santoshi for Alhaad Chitra, Poona. The movie had Shashikala, Agha, Alhaad, Sundar, Nana Palsikar, Achala Sachdev, Krishnakant, Kundan, Raja Gosavi, Haroon, Ramkumar, Vijaybala, Premlata, Rajni, Hira Sawant etc in it.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. This forgotten movie has some lesser heard songs that are superb to listen to.
Here is a mujra song from the movie. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by O P Nayyar.
It is a superb mujra song, with outstanding lyrics, superb singing and nice music. The song is picturised beautifully as well. I am unable to identify the acress lip syncing this song. I request our knowledgeable raeders to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Heard this Song after long time …There was one more song reminds me of the Film Sargam 1950. song was sab se bhala Rupaiya…Lyrics by –
Santoshi . Rajkapoor & Rehana in the film . Sung by Mohmmad Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar.
