Raj Kapoor wanted to make a quickie with just financial backing. On recommendation of SJ, Dattaram was given the job of MD and he really turned it around. Then followed others like Parvarish etc.

Nitin ji,

I really do not know what you are trying to prove.
Instead of asking this question to everybody,if you had kept a track of postings, you would have found that this song is posted on 8th June itself, just 3 days back.
What is it that you want to indicate ?

After investigating I found that I went as per the list of songs – moviewise today which was not updated even after 3 days till now>6/8.
Just now I copy paste
Ab Dilli Door Nahin (1957)(6/8) MD-Dattaram
Chun chun karti aayi chidiyaa (Ab Dilli Door Nahin)
Jiyo laal mere tum laakhon baras (Ab Dilli Door Nahin)
Maalik tere jahaan mein (Ab Dilli Door Nahin)
Maata o maata jo tu aaj hoti (Ab Dilli Door Nahin)
Raghuwar ke gun gaawen re ham (Ab Dilli Door Nahin)
Ye chaman hamaara apna hai (Ab Dilli Door Nahin)

The song was not popular that I could recollect.
I was not sure as I queried whether the song is covered or not?
Moral of the story> udate asap. Generally it is. Thanks

The important thing about this film was that Pandit Nehru was to have appeared in the films. Prithviraj Kapoor & Raj Kapoor had personal relations with him and when Raj Kapoor met him and narrated the story, he agreed. But at the last minute Nehruji changed his mind and did not appear. The film flopped.
Dear, Arun ji, I want to know more about Duttaram. He was assistant to SJ for a long time, did some wonderful films with Raj Kapoor in the lead — Parvarish & Shriman Satyawadi, come to mind readily. I have not even seen his photo although, I believe, he was close to Raj Kapoor for a very long time. The only RK Film he did was this film, AB DILLI DOOR NAHIN which had an excellent music.
