1969 film ‘Jiyo Aur Jeene Do’, was may be one of Jaidev’s many films which were not received well at the box-office. With every un-successful film, the fate of its music, however good it may be, will be totally bleak. This is obvious from the fact that of the six songs of the film according to HFGK, only one song was posted on YouTube, by a non-Atulite!!
There are hardly any songs available from many films credited to Jaidev, especially from his work in the later years. I am heavily dependent on my well-wishers to provide such rare songs. Since I too have not heard those songs, it becomes more difficult to write about those songs and decipher the lyrics.
The present song by evergreen Asha seems to be a dance song, by the presence of ‘Nritya Todas’ in both the ‘antaras’. She renders the song in typical ‘Jaidev’ style, like her so many NFS songs by Jaidev. Let us enjoy.
