Though I have been discussing six to seven songs a day everyday for the last five days, I found myself at a strange dilemma. Most of the songs discussed on the day are decided at the spur of the moment by me in the morning (some on the last evening). But today, I found myself stumbling against songs that I found truly special and outstanding. They were songs that deserved special writeups and special occasions. And if I devote time to write special writeups for them, I will run out of time that I need to post my target number of songs for the day.
I kept looking for “run of the mill” songs that I could post without the vguilty feeling that I did not do justice to the song in the writeup, but I kept discovering one gem after another, all deserving special treatment. Today morning must be a special occasion when musical stars are aligned at the right positions. If I try to discover the same songs again some other time, I am sure I will draw a blank.
Nevertheless, I needed to discuss some songs for the day. Here is this song from “Fifty Fifty”(1956) which I heard for the first time only just now. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Madan Mohan.

It is rare to find a boring Geeta Dutt song. To find a GD song composed by my favorite composer Madan Mohan is like finding a tasty cherry atop a cake.
