“Zindagi”(1976) was directed by Ravi Tandon for Vikram Movies International, Bombay. This social movie had Mala Sinha, Sanjeev Kumar, Vinod Mehra, Mausami Chatterji, Anil Dhawan, Aruna Irani, Rakesh Pandey, Alka, A K Hangal, Deven Verma, Manmohan, Yunus Parwez, Leela Mishra, Sajjan, Praveen Paul, Brahm Bhardwaj, Chaman Puri, Padmini Kolhapure, Master Abbas, H L Pardesi, Chandu, Vandana Shashtri, Vikas Anand, Baldev Trehan, Jerry Raja, Nitin , Hemant, and friendly apperances were made by Keshto Mukherji, Ifthikar and Vijay Dutt.
HFGK counts the songs as song number 1, 2(a), (b) and 2. This confusion made us believe that we had YIPPEED this movie when we discussed two songs from the movie. Just now H M Aparna pointed it out to me that there were four songs in this movie. When I checked up, I realised that song number 2 (a) and (b) were two parts of a multiple version song and they had already been discussed. That left song mentioned as song number 2 in HFGK. This song is sung by Lata. Amit Khanna is the lyricist. Music is composed by Rajesh Roshan.
This song is picturised as a family get together song where Mausami Chatterji is seen lip syncing this song in the presence of almost the entire star cast of the movie. 🙂
