“Begaana”(1963) was produced and directed by Sadashiv Rao Kavi for Sadashiv Chitra, Bombay. The movie had Dharmendra, Supriya Chaudhary, Shailesh Kumar, Madhavi, Tarun Bose, Agha, Badri Prasad, Manorama, Mirza Mushsarraf, Chandrima Bhaduri, Rajan Haksar and Master Babloo etc in it.
Seven songs from the movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the eighth and final song from “Begaana”(1963) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Manna Dey, Asha Bhonsle as well as male and female chorus. Shailendra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sapan Jagmohan.
Only the audio of this song is available. From the sounds of it, this song appears to be a maanjhi song picturised in some river/ sea. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
