“Aabroo”(1943) was directed by Nazeer for Hind Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Sitara Devi, Yakoob, Nazeer, Jagdish, Masood, Shakir, Vatsala Kumthekar, Laddan, Chanda Bai, Janardan Sharma etc in it.
The movie has eleven songs in it. Ten songs from the movie have been covered in the blog.
The tenth song was covered in june 2016 and then I had got stuck because the eleventh and final song from the movie was not available.
Now, on carrying out a fresh search, I was pleasantly surprised to note that this elusive song had become available.
Here is this eleventh and final song from “Aabroo”(1943) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Sitaara Devi. Only the audio of this sad song is available, but it is clear that the song was picturised on herself.
Lyricist of this song is not known. Music is composed by Pt Govindram.
With this song, “Aabroo”(1943) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.
Song-Dukh dard ke maare hain (Aabroo)(1943) Singer-Sitaara Devi, MD-Pt Govindram
Lyrics
dukh dard ke maare hain aen
dukh dard ke maare hain aen
duniya se nahin shikwaa
taqdeer ke haare hain
ye gham ka fasaana hai ae ae ae ae
ye gham ka fasaana hai ae ae
koi bhi nahin suntaa aa aa
bedard zamaana hai
har dard ko sahte hain
har dard ko sahte hain ae
har dard ko sahte hain
fariyaad nahin karte ae ae

This song appears to be the same song as Track #5 (“Yeh gham ka fasaana hai”) with the addition of the few lines heard in the beginning (“Dukh dard ke maare hain”). The remaining lyrics are exactly the same in both, even though that the audio clip linked here is cut off at the end.
