Kamsune-Ansune Songs of Asha Bhosle-6
The next song in the Asha Bhosle series is a cute song from a C Grade movie named Mangu Dada (1970).
“Abhi Toh Baaki Hai Kahaani” sung by Asha Bhosle, is penned by S H Bihari and composed by C Arjun.
This movie starred Sheikh Mukhtar, Shakeela Bano Bhopali, Sujit, K.N. Singh, Hiralal, Maruti, Bhagwan, Faryal, Purnima, Zeb Rehman, Shyam Kumar, etc
The movie was produced by HR Khera and directed by Maruti (comic actor). In addition to this movie Maruti directed 3 more movies – Hum Sab Ustad Hain (1965), Kahin Aar Kahin Paar (1971) and Hum Sab Chor Hain (1973). He also acted in over 200 films over a 4 decade period!!
A brief synopsis of the movie:-

Singh is the leader of the outlaws. He was engaged in Smuggling of Gold and Jewels and he did not hesitate killing Jeevan, who reported his activities to the police officer Sharma.
Kundan, a C.I.D. officer linked this murder to the gang against whom he reported. During his investigation Kunadan had doubts on Sona, a dancer in a hotel owned by Singh. So to keep an eye on both, Kundan stays in that hotel. Singh’s niece Rita is in love with Kundan and through their meetings he discovers the true character of Singh. Kundan was in search of proof to arrest Singh and during this time Singh came to know about Kundan. By the time Kundan gets proof against Singh, he (Singh) had turned the tables on Kundan with the help of Mangu Dada who resembled the police officer Sharma.
How Singh’s nefarious activities are brought to book form the basis of hair raising thrills which you can only get by seeing them on the screen.
Lip syncing this song is Faryal who is trying to woo a bored Sujit Kumar. This is a club song. A cabaret.
