Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 21
Here is this song “How Sweet Dadaji” from Saazish 1975. The song is written by Hasrat Jaipuri and composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
This time, instead of presenting a solo rare song, I bring you a duet sung sweetly by Asha Bhosle and Ranu Mukharjee (daughter of Hemant Kumar).
Saazish-1975’ was directed by Kalidas for ‘Maya Movietone, Bombay’. Kalidas was also the producer of this movie. It had Saira Banu, Dharmendra, Dev Kumar, Rajendra Nath, Madan Puri, Jagdish Raj, Murad, Gayjee, David, Helen etc. Iftekhar and Paintal make special appearance in this movie.
The story of “Saazish” (1975):
The film revolves around Jai (Dharmendra), a daring and intelligent man who unwittingly finds himself entangled in a dangerous international conspiracy. A web of smuggling, diamond theft, and murder unfolds, orchestrated by a global crime syndicate. When the syndicate kills a key figure and attempts to eliminate all evidence, Jai becomes both a suspect and a target.
Jai meets Sunita (Saira Banu), a charming and resourceful woman who also seems to have a hidden agenda. As the story progresses, the two get involved in a rollercoaster of intrigue, betrayal, and deception across exotic locations — including several international locales, which were a novelty in Hindi cinema at the time.
Their journey pits them against a mysterious mastermind and his network of henchmen (including characters played by Prem Chopra and Madan Puri). Together, Jai and Sunita uncover the “saazish” (conspiracy) threatening national security.
The film is styled like a James Bond-type spy thriller, complete with action sequences, disguises, car chases and foreign settings, etc
This song is a fun, light-hearted number that stands out for its playful tone, English-Hindi lyrics, and humorous setup. The song is lip synced by Saira Banu and Helen. They are teasing Dev Kumar sitting in a wheelchair and is disguised as an old man — hence the title “Dadaji” — and Saira Banu is playing along in a cheeky, flirtatious mood.
This movie has five songs, out of which one is already posted years ago. Here’s the second song.

This song from SAAZISH (1975) was a unique type of song which was rather less heard often.
