“Sangram” (1965) was directed by Babubhai Mistry. Like “Parasmani” (1963), the earlier movie of Babubhai Mistry, this movie too had B grade superstars in it viz Dara Singh, Geetanjali, Randhawa, Maruti, Aruna Irani, King Kong etc.

“Parasmani” was a C grade movie the likes of which rarely got noticed by mainstream audience. But this movie became a big hit because its music simply caught the imagination of the public. Almost all the songs from this movie became hugely popular and gatecrashed into the party of Binaca geetmala which was otherwise reserved for songs of A grade movies.
