“Anaadi”(1975) was directed by Asit Sen for I S Films, Bombay. The “social” movie had Shashi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Mausami Chatterji, Kabir Bedi, Mehmood (friendly appearance), Utpal Dutt, Kader Khan, Dina Pathak, Shamim, Devkishan Ahuja, HRaindranath Chattopadhyay, Anita Guha, Mushtaq Merchant, Birbal, Asit Sen etc in it, with specuial appearances by Anil Dhawan, Poornima, Krishnkant and Paintal.

I have posted several songs from “Anaadi” (1959) in this blog, but even I was not aware of this song. I have listened to this song for the first time just today, viz 50 years after this song was created.

“Anaadi” was a movie starring Raj Kapoor and Nutan. There were some very nice songs picturised on them in this movie.

Here is a much loved song from “Anaadi” which is sung by Mukesh and picturised on Raj Kumar. This song is a standard Raj Kapoor production, in the sense that this song is created by the standard Raj Kapoor team. The song is penned by Shailendra and the music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

It is difficult to believe it, but this song is exactly 50 years old by now. One cannot make it out by listening to the voice of Lata or watching the picturisation, though.
