When one talked of a movie called “Sargam” in my younger days, the only movie of this name that I was aware of was the Rishi Kapoor Jayaprada movie of 1980. Later I came to know that a movie of the same title was released in 1950 too which was a Filmistan production. “Sargam” (1950) was directed by P L Santoshi.
