In such songs a lesser female actor would seek to seduce the hero by singing a song typically sung by Asha Bhonsle.

on:“Do Kaliyaan” (1968) was an AVM productions movie. It was directed by Krishnan Panju. The movie had Biswajeet, Mala Sinha, Mehmood, Om Prakash, Lalita Pawar, Manorama, Nigar Sultana, Geetanjali, Hira Lal, Umesh Sharma, Bharati, Sujata, Shabnam, Baby Sonia(aka Neetu Singh) etc in it.

With movie personalities with long successful careers, all they need to do is to watch their old movies. Ye samaa ye rut ye nazaare

on:“Do Kaliyaan” (1968) is one of those movies that I have actually watched (albeit on TV) and the only thing I recall about this movie is that Baby Sonia (now known as Nitu Singh) had played a double role in this movie (and that is why this title called “Do Kaliyaan” viz “two buds”).

on:This song is from “Do Kaliyaan” though I was not aware of this fact when I used to listen to this popular song on loudspeakers during my younger days. Needless to say, I was not aware who were the actors on whom this song was picturised.
