A couple of days back I got to see the movie Naughty Boy (1962). It is a comedy starring Kishore Kumar and Kalpana (often remembered as the heroine singing “main chali main chali” with Shammi Kapoor in Professor, or the object of Dev Anand’s “arrey yaar meri tum bhi ho ghazab” in Teen Deviyan).

“Teen Deviyaan” (1965) was for some reason a blindspot for me, and I was not much clued in to its songs. Now I am finding out that quite a few songs, which I enjoyed listening to without knowing about their details were actually from this movie.

“Pyaar Kiye Jaa” (1966) was one Shashi Kapoor movie that was successful despite he being the solo hero of this movie. That is what I was told all these days.

“Professor” has to be one of the most memorable musical blockbuster movie featuring Shammi Kapoor. But then the same can be said about any Shammi Kapoor movie.

Here is another sad song sung by Mukesh. This song is from a movie called “Saheli”. The song was written by Indeewar and Kalyanji Anandji were the music directors.

If Indian movie industry has a few famous sisters in different fields of movie making. The most well known of them being the Mangeshkar sisters who are well known in the field of movie music.Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Usha Mangeshkar are so well known that they need no introduction.
