“Dulaari” (1949) is a movie that starred Suresh, Geeta Bali, Madhubala etc. This movie is today known as the movie that launched the career of Rafi as a playback singer with the song Suhaani raat dhal chuki na jaane tum kab aaoge.

“Howrah Bridge” (1958) was a landmark movie in the annals of Hindi movie club songs. This movie had not one but two club songs that went on to become immortal clu songs. One was of course the Helen song Mera naam Chin Chin Choo and the other was the Madhubala song Aayiye meharbaan (Howrah Bridge) .

I was aware of a movie called “Hanste Zakhm” but not “Hanste Aansoo” . It turns out that this movie called “Hanste Aansoo” (1950) had the “distinction” of becoming the first ever Hindi movie to get an “Adults” certificate for this movie. 🙂

“Rail Ka Dibba” (1953) is one of the earliest movie of Shammi Kapoor. In this movie he is paired opposite Madhubala. By that time, Madhubala had already carved a niche for herself whereas Shammi Kapoor had yet to discover his niche.
