I have been discussing the missing songs of Sajjad Hussain from “Rukhsaanaa” (1955)that I have been able to locate. “Rukhsaana” (1955) is a movie about which little information is available.

Sajjad Hussain composed only about 100 songs in his entire career lasting more than three decades. When I went through the list of his songs, I discovered some interesting facts. Though he composed very few songs, he worked with a disproportionally large number of singers and artists in these songs. In all, he worked with over 25 singers and over 25 lyricists in these songs that add up to just about 100 !

I have discussed two songs from “Rukhsaanaa” (1955) so far in this blog. This is one of the Sajjad Hussain movies whose songs are available on internet rather more easily, at least as of now.

Few people have heard of this movie called “Rukhsaanaa” (1955). It is interesting to note that this movie had actors like Kishore Kumar, Meena Kumari, Shammi Kapoor and Kumkum in it.
