“Aao Pyaar Karen” (1964) was a movie produced by Filmalaya. This movie was a home production of Joy Mukherji, the hero of this movie, because his family was the major stake holder in Filmalaya. Saira Bano was the leading lady opposte him. Other actors in this movie were Madhvi, Shyam Chatterji, Rajendranath, Merlyn, Manavendranath, Jayant Shah etc. This movie was directed by R K Nayyar.

People who are good in their jobs as well as good in Public relations forge ahead whereas others, who may be equally good if not so, may find themselves underappreciated.

When Hindi movie music directors wanted to create songs of a particular mood, they would explain the situation to the lyricist and he would write a song for the occassion. Then music director would compose the music and get the song recorded.

Apne piya ki prem pujaaran

Few people today remember this movie called “Aman” (1967). It must have been a huge flop for this movie to end up like this considering that the movie had big names in it. Rajendra Kumar and Saira Bano were leading names during those days and Shankar Jaikishan were the biggest names in music direction those days. But all these big names could not rescue this movie.

“Sagina” (1974) was one of those few movies where Dilip Kumar and Saira Bano acted opposite each other. This movie, which was a remake of a Bangla movie called “Sagina Mahto” had some nice songs in it.
