Saaqiyaa aaj mujhe neend nahin aayegi

I had heard this song in passing in the past, without paying much attention, and without being aware which movie this song is from. This time I listened to (and watched) this song in the right earnest, and I was suitably impressed.
This is a mujra song from “Saahib Bibi aur Ghulaam” (1962). It is sung wonderfully well by Asha Bhonsle who could sing cabarat songs as well as mujra songs with equal felicity.
This song is picturised on Minu Mumtaz. Lyrics are impressive , and the lyricist is that expert wordsmith Shakeel Badayuni. Hemant Kumar is the music director.
It is a lovely mujra song from a movie that was a landmark movie in Bollywood in more ways than one.

I have already posted the other two songs mentioned by you.
I was not aware of this song being from this movie. But they ignorance is my middle name.

This is the closest to qawwali like song by Hemant Kumar. I am yet to find anything like a qawwali by SD Burman.

An example that comes to mind immediately is “Hum Chhupe Rustom Hain”, from Dev Anand’s film “Chhupa Rusom” (1973).

Thanks, i found the qawwali by Manna Dey, finally (only audtio). 1973 is too late in the day for it not to be ghost composed by RDB.
It would be still interesting to see if S. D. Burman dabbled in qawwali in the earlier decades.

Beauty of this song its picturization using light and shade effect. Light is focused only on main dancer/singer Minoo Mumtaz and co-dancers are covered under shade throughout the song.

Oooooh….one of my all-time favourite songs !!!
I just looooove this song.
I remember seeing this movie long back. Loved the songs.
Including “bhanwra bada naadaan hai” and “na jaao sainya”.
Landmark movie.
Some years back India Today (I think) had listed out 10 greatest Indian movies ever. The list included this movie (and movies like Ganga Jamna, Pyaasa, Sholay and I think Madhumati and Guide).
