“Chaand” songs are one of the most popular genre of songs in Bollywood movies. There are countless songs on this topic, and many of them have gone on to become immortal.
Here is one of the earliest “Chaand” songs. It is from a movie called “Veer Babruwaahan” (1950). From the title, it is obvious that the movie is a mythological movie, which used to be a B grade movie even in those early days.
This is a very rare song from a very rare movie. It is one of the first songs sung by Geeta Dutt (then Geeta Roy). The song is a sad poignant song picturised on Mridula. Anjum Jaipuri is the lyricist and Chitragupta composed the music.
