Do din bahaar phool ko dikhlaake rah gaye

I had heard vaguely about a movie called “Dahej” (1950), possibly because one of the readers of this blog had mentioned this movie.
I just stumbled upon a song from this movie. The voice of this singer sounded new for me, and indeed that turns out to be the case.This song is sung by Jayshree and the song is picturised on her as well. She plays a blind lady in this movie and this is a poignant and sad song. The picturisation may appear a bit over the top, what with her eye balls popping out of her eye sockets in an attempt to show that she was unable to see.
The song is written by Shams Lucknowi and music is composed by Vasant Desai. It is a good song to listen to if one wants to listen to a different voice singing in the style of 1950.
