on:Most songs posted in this blog are from movies that got released at some date. But there are cases where the makers of the movie were so broke that the movie never got released.
As a result, a few careers failed to take off. And importantly for music lovers, quite a few songs were lost to the listeners.
Fortunately, in some cases, a few songs of unreleased movies managed to find their way into the public domain.
Here is a song from an unreleased movie called “Bhool Na Jaanaa”. Since this movie never got released, I do not know what year to associate with this movie. The songs of this movie may have got released somewhere between 1960 to 1970, though.
This song is sung by Mukesh. Lyricist is Hariram Acharya and music director is Daan Singh.
As we can see, the lyricist Hariram Acharya is one whose career failed to get launched because of the shelving of this movie. The music director Daan Singh too had a brief career.
The song itself is quite a nice song to listen to, but unfortunately this song was known to so few people that it ended up as a rare difficult to find song.
Here is this lovely song from this unreleased movie called “Bhol Na Jaanaa”.
song-Gham e dil kisase kahoon (Bhool Na Jaanaa) (unreleased) (1970) Singer-Mukesh, Lyrics-Hariram Acharya,MD-Daan Singh
Gham-e-dil kisase kahoon
koi bhi ghamkwaar nahin
hain sabhi ghair yahaan
zakhm-e-dil ki ye jalan
qaabil-e-izhaar nahin
chup kar rehnaa hai yahaan
silsilaa toot gayaa
pyaar ke afsaanon kaa
ho gayaa khaaq chaman
tinke bikhraa ke gayi
wo ek purdard hawaa
rah gaye gham ke nishaan
gham-e-dil kisase kahoon
koi bhi ghamkwaar nahin
hain sabhi ghair yahaan
aaj ashqon mein
bahe jaate hain toote sapne
aur ye daur-e-sitam
kisase fariyaad karen
kaun sune dil ki zubaan
hai ye bedard jahaan
gham-e-dil kisase kahoon
koi bhi ghamkwaar nahin
hain sabhi ghair yahaan

i thought it is only in , My Love(1970) , in which Daan Singh gave Music but this song , which I have heard so many times without knowing which movie, which MD, which lyrist but used to like it very much. Now I will relish it more.
By the way , one thing about Daan Sinng- he was the master MD in whatsoever limited work he had done.
I also would like to point out here that ‘Singh’ in his cast doesn’t mean he is a sikh but since he belonged to Rajsthan may be Rajput.
