“Baabar” (1960) was obviously a movie made on the life of Baabar, the first Mughal king. This was a low budget movie made with smalltime actors.
The music of this movie had nothing small time about it though. The musical team was as talented as they came and that reflected in the songs that were created for this movie.
I have discussed two songs from this movie in the past.
Here is another song from this movie. I was not aware of this song till a few hours ago. This song is sung by Sudha Malhotra. It is picturised on Shubha Khote, with Sulochana Chaudhary also visible in the picturisation.
Roshan is the music director. The real star of this song has to be its lyrics and they are penned by Sahir Ludhianvi, whose birtday (8th March) falls today.
On the occasion of Sahir Ludhianvi’s birthday, here is this forgotten gem from “Baabar” (1960) that is penned by him.

Shubha khote and AZRA are the actors on whom the song was picturised,
and eventhough Sulochana Chatterjee acted in the movie, but she is not visible in the song picturisation, and imdb.com wrongly mentions her name as Sulochana chaudhary,

The actresses are Shubha Khote an Azra. Azra is mistaken as Sulochana Choudhari.
