This article is written by Sudhir, a fellow enthusiast of Hindi movie songs and a regular contributor to this blog.
Aakhri Sajda (1977) is the last movie for which Sajjaad Hussain composed music.
The star cast for this movie includes Maya Sinha, Tabrez, Murad, Veena, Sapru, Jagdeep, Helen, Husn Banu etc.
The lyrics of this song are by Jaan Nissar Akhtar, and the singing voice is Usha Mangehskar. On screen picturization is on Helen. This song is apparently presented as a stage performance.
This song is vintage Sajjaad; as one listens to it, it grows on you.
Song-Nazar milaao pataa chalegaa (Aakhri Sajdaa) (1977) Singer-Usha Mangeshkar, Lyrics-Jaan Nisaar Akhtar, MD-Sajjad Hussain
Lyrics
nazar milaao
pataa chalegaa
nazar milaao pataa chalegaa
ke husn kyaa hai shabaab kyaa hai
wo zindagi ka suroor hoon main
wo zindagi ka suroor hoon mein
ke mere aage sharaab kyaa hai
aaaaaaaa aaaa mmmm
aaaaaaaa aaaa hmmm
aaaaa aaaaa hmmm
jawaan nazren
ghuli huyi hain
haseen baahen khuli huyi hain
tumhen qasam hai
meri qasam hai
tumhen qasam hai meri qasam hai
kareeb aao hijaab kyaa hai
ye hontth jaise
bhare hon saagar
ye hontth jaise
bhare hon saagar
mein sar se paaon tak tamaam mahshar
mein sar se paaon tak tamaam mahshar
mere badan ki
misaal kyaa hai
mere badan ki misaal kyaa hai
mere labon ka jawaab kyaa hai
aaaaaaaa aaaa aaaaa hmmmm
aaaaaaaa aaaa aaaa hmmmm
kahaan ki duniyaa
kahaan ki uqbaa
na mujhko darr hai
na koi parwaah
aaaa aaaa aaaaa
jo dil jawaan hai
to kaun soche
jo dil jawaan hai to kaun soche
sabaab kyaa hai
azaab kyaa hai
nazar milaao pataa chalegaa
ke husn kyaa hai shabaab kyaa hai
wo zindagi ka suroor hoon mein
ke mere aage sharaab kyaa hai

Video link is not working. New link to the video clip of the song:

The song is picturised on Helen. The male actor seems to be Bosco, the Choreographer of the song.
This is an unique composition with unusual orchestration. Usha Mangeshkar has sung it beautifully. This song is the proof that Sajjad Hussain leaned with the wind of modernisation without compromising the melody.
By the way, I get a feeling that LP may have got some inspiration from this song when they composed https://atulsongaday.me/2011/11/23/zihaal-e-mskeen-maqun-ba-ranjish/
