Here is another song from my school days (1970s) that should have made it to this blog long back but somehow it did not. Perhaps I was subconsciously saving this song and other songs of those days.
This song from “Amaanush” (1975) is the title song cum theme song of the movie. This song is sung by Kishore Kumar and it is picturised on Uttam Kumar and Sharmila Tagore on a boat. So that makes this song a boat song as well.
“Amaanush” was originally made in Bangla and the same artists of the Bangla movie were used in the Hindi movie as well. Shyamal Mitra composed the music. Lyrics were written by Indeewar.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by more than one reader, but Prakashchandra was the earliest to do so.

A Kishore gem, thanks for that. Now that you are onto 70’s Kishore, how about another gem from Amaanush: ‘Na poochho koi hamein, zahar kyoon pee liya..’. This is based on the Kishore number in the original Bengali version of the film: ‘ Bipin babur karon sudha….’

Ah, looks like you have started releasing Kishore da classics of the 1970s. 😉 This is another one that brings back memories. The early/mid- 70s will always be associated with Kishore da for me. This was one of many gems he came up with at that time.
I am now going to look for other gems that may not have been posted yet. 😉
