“Tohfa” (1947) is a movie about which little is known now. From internet, I can gather that the movie had
Nawab, Veera, Shahnawaz, Anuradha, Rehman, Misra, Agha etc in it.
Here is a duet song from this movie. It is sung by Mukesh and Hamida Bano. Lyricist is not known. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us about the lyricist.

Atul ji,
TOHFA-1947 was a Seth bros. film directed by Agha jani Kashmiri,who also wrote some lyrics in the film.There were total of 6 lyricists for 10 songs.
The above song is written by Nazir hyderabadi.The other lyricists were Sakib lucknowi,Arju Lucknowi,Shant Arora and Rafiq gaznavi.
Though the MD was one M.A.Rauf,the musical effects were by Rafiq Gaznavi.
M.A.Rauf was from Hyderabad and a graduate from osmania University,in those days.He always used to put Osmania in brackets after his name.His songs from Tohfa perticularly by Mukesh were tremendous hits and Mukesh himself liked those songs.Rauf also gave music to Beete Din-1947 and Basera-1950.
