“Achhoot Kanya” (1936) was a Bombay Talkies Production. It was produced by Himanshu Rai and directed by Franz Osten. The movie had Ashok Kumar and Devika Rani in lead roles.
The movie had as many as nine songs in it. Eight of the songs have already been discussed. Here is the ninth and final song from this movie.
This song is the first song in the movie. It gets played immediately after the credits roll on the screen. The song is sung by a singer who is uncredited. From the voice, it looks like it has been sung by some classical singer. I request our knoledgeable readers to tell us who this singer could be. He has a lovely voice. Listening to this voice seves as a mental massage and relaxes the mind.
J S Kashyap is the lyricist. Music is composed by Saraswati Devi.
Lyrics were sent to me by Nitin Shah.
I feel that a few words in this song are not clear. I request our readers with keener ears to point out the correct / missing words in the lyrics.
With this song, “Achhoot Kanya” (1936) becomes the oldest movie in the blog where all the songs have been covered.

I just looked at the credits of the film again to look for a clue as to the identity of the singer but there was nothing to help in this. Will need to leave it to the really knowledgeable readers to identify this person.
Also listened to the words again to sort out the missing words. Drew a blank! I am SO hopeless at these things!
Anyway, am glad that this movie is now fully covered in this blog. It deserves to be. Thanks, Atul and Nitin Shah.
