“Chhoti Behan” (1959) was a Prasad Production movie. It was directed by L V Prasad. The movie had Rehman, Balraj Sahni, Shyama, Nanda, Sudesh Kumar, Trideep Kumar, Mehmood, Hari Shivdasani, Dhumal, Badri Prasad, Shobha Khote, Veena, Radhakrishen etc in it.
This movie was a musical blockbuster. It contained the iconic Rakhi song Bhaiyya mere raakhi ke bandhan ko nibhaana and also such timeless classics viz Jaaun kahan bata ae dil and Main rangeela pyaar ka raahi (Chhoti Bahan) etc.
As many as six songs from “Chhoti Behan” (1959) have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh song from this movie. This song is a sad and poignant song. It is a background song which gets played as Nanda and Balraj Sahni find themselves on the streets, after being thrown out of their own home by their family members.
Shailendra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

I wonder if this song was the last song from the movie or whether there are a few more songs still left to be covered. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this matter.

Effectively, there still are two more songs from this film to be posted.
The Raakhi song “Bhaiyyaa Mere Raakhi Ke Bandhan Ko Nibhaana”, also has a sad version, that is played at a later time in the film. (This one can be combined with the earlier post.)
Then another song by Lata “Badi Door Se Aayee Hoon Mein Tera Dil Behlaane”.

To my knowledge, there were 7 songs in the movie, and with this song, we seem to have covered all the songs from this movie. Of course, Arun Ji would be the best person to confirm this fact for us :).
