We in this blog have discussed lots and lots of songs picturised on Shammi Kapoor. I eagerly look forward to the day when all available songs picturised on Shammi Kapoor will be available in this blog. I have not counted such songs, but I am sure we may already have at least half of all such songs in the blog.
Here is one song that had so far remained undiscussed. This song is from “Jawaan Mohabbat” (1971). This movie had come at a time when Rajesh Khanna was at the peak of his superstardom where as Shammi Kapoor (and Asha Parekh, his co star here) were past their prime. Still, this is a wonderful song to listen to , and watch, especially for the sake of nostalgia.
The song is sung by Rafi with gusto. In fact, this song sounds like a stunning song to me, though this song had failed to become much popular during its time, with music lovers’s choices having undergone a sea change.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
PS-Later, when I had access to HFGK, I realised that this song has a part II as well which is sung by Rafi and Asha Bhonsle. Now I have added the full lyrics and provided link to the full song as well.

doesn’t the dancer (who makes and appearance in the middle of the song) look like Madhumati. and who is the dancer dressed in Hawaiian clothes ?
