“Veer Babruwaahan” (1950) was a Basant Pictures production. It was directed by Danabhai Bhatt. The movie had Mridula, S. N. Tripathi, Amarnath, Shashi Kapoor (senior), Umakant, Jankidas, B. M. Vyas etc in it.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the third song from the movie. This song is sung by Geeta Dutt and Rafi. The song is picturised on Mridula and a gentleman whom I cannot identify. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify him.
Anjum Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by S N Triptahi.

Nahm ji,
Thanks for identifying the male actor in this song. You are right, it is Shashi Kapoor. This is not the Shashi, brother of Raj Kapoor, but it is the earlier Shashi Kapoor, who was active in films since late 1930s. He worked in films till around mid 1950s. Then he left films, going to USA for higher education, and settled there.
On another note, the info in the excel sheet needs correction. The film indeed is ‘Veer Babruwaahan’. There is no film in 1950 by the name ‘Veer Hanuman’.

Sir,
I have noticed a few more mistakes in the excel sheet recently. I was wondering if anyone among us is willing to take responsibility of making corrections in the sheet.
In the blog we are at less than half mark of all Rafi songs. It is not too late, to start making correction in what we have. It can be made into a perfect reference point, like ‘Geet kosh’ .
I am aware both you and Atul ji are having your hands full the projects at hand. On the other hand too much hard work is already gone into that compilation to treat it lightly. This is the reason I have not made any changes in it.
If one person is appointed to make corrections, than whoever is coming across any mistakes, we all can inform the individual . And excel is tricky to use. It makes sense to centralize the correction process.
