“Madhavi” (1969) was produced by Shree Ganesh Prasad and Prasad M and directed by Chanakya. This by now forgotten movie had Sanjay Khan, Deepa, Padmini, Nazir Hussain, Roopesh Kumar, Mukri, Master Shahid, Aruna Irani, Murad, Pran, Mehmood, Raj Kishore etc in it.
Here is a forgotten song from this obscure movie. It is sung by Lata. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
Only the audio of this song is available and so it is difficult to say how and on whom this song is picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on this movie and on the picturisation of this song.
The lyrics of this song were sent to me by nahm (long time back) and I discovered it lying buried deep in my inbox.

This Deepa(aka Unni Mary) acted in sister`s role in Rajesh Khanna`s Amar deep(as Mithun Chakraborthy`s love interest-Shabana Azmi,Vinod Mehra Starrer)and also there in kannada movies like
Vijay Vikram(with Vishnuvardhan,
Dhruvataare(with Raj Kumar),
Guru Jagdguru(with Ambarish)
SwatiMuthyam(Telugu-with Kamal Hassan)
But the Actress featuring in this movie song MADHAVI,(opposite Sanjay khan)is different from above mentioned DEEPA .

I thought so too that this is not a same Deepa that was in Madhavi but they have mention this film in her filmography…strange..!!!

Deepa(Introducing in the movie Madhavi 1969) is different from South Indian Heroine Deepa aka Unni Mary.
Deepa aka Unni Mary acted in Rajesh Khanna`s Amar Deep(1979) in a role of Rajesh Khanna`s Sister and also as love interest of Mithun Chakraborthy
