“Rustam e Hind” (1965) was produced by Kedar Kapoor and R S Sharma and directed by Kedar Kapoor for K R Films, Bombay. The movie had Dara Singh and Mumtaz in lead roles. Others in the movie included Helen, Laxmi Chhaaya, Sham Kumar, K.N.Singh, Parveen Paul, Rajan Haksar, Mridula Rani, Randhir, Maruti Rao, TunTun, Mohan Choti, Bihari, Hansa, Haroon, Khurshid, Madhumati, Roopesh Kumar, Parashuram etc.
The movie had six songs in it. Two songs have been covered in the blog.
Here is the third song from “Rustam e Hind”(1965). The song is sung by Shamshad Begam. Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hansraj Bahl.
The video of the song shows that this song is picturised as a dance song in rural setting. Video quality is quite poor. My guess is that it is Madhumati (vaguely resembling Helen) who is the dancer in thiis song. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify her.
Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hansraj Bahl.
I have not been able to get a few words right in the lyrics. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the blanks/ suggest corrections in the lyrics wherever applicable.
