“Bharthari” (1944) was a Navin Pictures Production which was directed by Chaturbhuj Doshi. The movie had Surendra as Bharthari, Mumtaj Shanti as Queen Pingala and Nagendra ( Pahadi Sanyal) as guru Gorakhnath, Kajjan, Sulochana, Dave, Babar etc.
Eight songs from “Bharthari”(1944) has been discussed in the past. Here is the ninth song from the movie.
This song is sung by Jahanara Kajjan. This is the second song from this movie which is sung by her. Only the audio of this song is available and so it is difficult to say how and on whom this song was picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picurisation of this song.
Pt Indra Chandra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Khemchand Prakash.
I have not been able to get the lyricist of the song fully correct. I request our readers with keener ears to point out the missing/ correct words in the lyrics.

Jahanara Kajjan was a singer-actor. Since she also acted in this film, it is apparent that she sang this song on herself.

Atul ji,
Nagendra who was in this film’s cast is not Pahadi Sanyal. It was Nagendra Majumdar (father of Ninu Majumdar-MD), an actor of yesteryears.
