“Jal Pari”(1952) was directed by Mohan Sinha for Trivedi Productions, Bombay. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Nalini Jaiwant, Geeta Bali, Bipin Gupta, Tiwari, Sundar, Baanke, Pandya, Dubey, Bhagwandas etc in it.
Four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fifth song from “Jal Pari”(1952) to appear in the blog.
This song is sung by Lata. Music is composed by Pt Govindram. The song is picturised on Nalini Jaiwant.
Though there were as many as four lyricists in this movie, the details about who wrote which song were not there on the records or on the song booklets of this movie. So we do not know which of the four lyricists, viz. Bharat Vyas, Ramesh Gupta, Noor Lucknowi and Qamar Jalalabadi has written this song.
I found it an incredibly sweet song to listen to even though it is a separation song where Nalini Jaiwant is missing Ashok Kumar (a pardesi prince) who is not turning up despite his promise to do so.

According to one site the song in question is penned by Bharat Vyas. Rest of the songs are unidentifiable.
