Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No. 34

On this date ten years back viz on 10 March 2013, seven songs from seven different movies were covered in the blog. Here are the details:-

We notice that two movies (out of seven) whose songs were covred on the ten years ago on the same date (viz on 10 march 2013) have since been YIPPEED in the blog. That leaves us with five unYIPPEED movies that are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today (10 march 2023).
“Sawaal”(1943) was one BTYC eligible movie from that date. This movie was directed by Niranjan for Gitanjali Movietone, Bombay. the movie had Mumtaz Shanti, Ulhas, Radharani, Rajrani,Sadiq, Agha, Niranjan, V.Sherali, Habib, Babu Bhai etc in it.
“Sawaal”(1943) had ten songs in it. Four songs have been covered so far.
Here is the fifth song from the movie. This song is sung by Amirbai Karnataki and fe3male chorus. Only audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

The start of the mukhda of the song from ‘Sawaal’ (1943) as indicated in the link given below is as under:

I feel that the song uploaded in the post is from the film. ‘Patharon Kaa Saudagar’ (1944) because the mukhda lyrics differ and the voice in the song is that of Rajkumari Dubey and not Amirbai Karnataki.
SAREGAMA has done such blunders in some cases of Mp3 clips of the old songs on their website..

Thanks for pointing it out. Is the actual song of “Sawaal”(1943) available ? If so then I can replace that song in this post. Else I will have to get this post rewritten attributing the song to “Pattharon Ka Saudagar”(1944).

There is a song from Pathharon ka Saudagar 1944 with exactly the same music and composition. The singers also sound the same. More like Rajkumari than Amirbai Karnataki. What is the reality?
