Blog Day :

6001 Post No. : 18703

#the Decade of Eighties – 1981 – 1990 #
———————————————————————

Today 22nd December’2024 is the 6001st day for the blog. So it is another important day since it is the ‘starting point’ of a ‘new beginning’ again. At one of my previous employer my senior always uses to say that the first day of every month is the most suitable day to start anything new. Here the context was of implementing new things, new procedures, new SOPs at workplace. In our day to day routine also when a calendar month ends and a new month begins we generally are excited and it does give a ‘new feeling’ and motivates to take a ‘fresh guard’. I remember in my childhood days when the song from ‘Pehli Taareekh’ used to play on radio, listening to it was very joyful, and even now whenever this song is played on ‘Vividh Bhartee’ on first day of a month it gives me the same excitement and feeling.

Today on the blog we have been graced with two posts from our seniors and that is great start for the next milestones coming on the blog. On this occasion to celebrate here is song expressing the ‘joy’ and a ‘heart filled with love’. In our case it is the heart filled with music ‘dil mein tumhaare jo sangeet ho, badee pyaaree zindagee ee’..
‘har kadam par khushee, har ghadee duniyaa nayee’

The song is from the movie “Jeet Hamaari-1983” which was directed by R. Thyagarajan for Devar Films, Madras. It was produced by C. Dhandayuthapani. This movie was passed by the Censor Board on 30.05.1983. It has Rakesh Roshan, Rajinikanth, Ranjeeta, Anita Raj, Om Shivpuri, Madan Puri, Shakti Kapoor, Satyen Kappu, Jagdish Raj, Aruna Irani, Padma Chavan, Silk Smitha, Vijay Kumar, Gurbachan, Ram Krishnan, Jestin, Rudhramurthy, Jaggu, Rajkumar, Pichaai, Gemini Balu, Sundar, Kannan, Narayanan, Badrinath, Richard, Munny, Suryakumar, Athilakshami and others.

The story and screenplay for this movie is by ‘Devar Films-Story Department’, and dialogues are written by Ram Govind while editing of this movie is done by M.G. Balurao. The lyricists for the songs in this movie are Indeevar and Maya Govind.

The list of playback singers for this movie includes Kishore Kumar, K.J. Yesudas, S.P. Balasubramaniam, Asha Bhonsle and S. Janaki.

while presenting the first song from this movie I had mentioned that I have yet to watch this movie ‘Jeet Hamaari’, so I can’t say much about its’ storyline or the situation of the today’s song. But I like this song which has very good music. I was not aware of this movie’s songs till recently and I came across them recently while going through the songs composed by Bappi Lahiri.

Let us now enjoy the song which on screen is lip-synced by Rakesh Roshan in the voice of Kishore Kumar. Lyrics are by Indeevar and music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. In the picturisation of this song other than Rakesh Roshan we have Ranjeeta on screen and the ‘dost’ (horse) of Rakesh Roshan who plays an important role in the song as well for Rakesh Roshan in the movie. This song has very good music and the beats played and other instruments played create a nice uplifting mood. The first song from this movie posted recently also has good music by Bappi Lahiri. I guess that this movie and its songs were forgotten easily in the midst of other movies like ‘Himmatwaalaa’ of Bappi Lahiri in that year i.e. ‘1983’.

What a coincidence, I saw this film last week on the occasion of Rajnikanth’s birthday on satellite TV

The movie had a lost-and-found theme. Ranjeeta & family consisting of mother (Padma Chavan) and father (Om Shivpuri) are pining for their lost son (Rajnikanth) who has been kidnapped by Madan Puri (as a child), brought by Satyen Kappu and become an expert conman/ car thief. Rakesh Roshan is a cop on the trial of the conman in love with Anita Raaj

Simple story

Sorry Sorry, minor correction to the above. “Ranjeeta & Rakesh Roshan” and “Anita Raaj & Rajnikanth” that is the pairing
Also Anita Raaj also has a sick mother and an axe to grind with Madan Puri. But I did not understand that angle of the story.
Like Rakesh Roshan’s horse there is a dog in Rajnikanth’s life
The film was a bilingual- Tamil & Hindi releasing with a gap of few months in-between
