“Rishta”(1954) was produced by Rashid Parvez and directed by Aslam for Rajasthan Productions, Bombay. This movie had Nigar Sultana, Suresh, Anwar, S Nazir, Rai Mohan, Leela Mishra, Neelam, Faizi, Agni, Sheikh, Ramlal, K R Thapar, Baby Chaand, Nadir, Kalyan, Vijaylami etc in it.
This movie had seven songs in it. Six songs have been covered in the blog in the past. Here are the details:-

The sixth and penultimate song of “Rishta”(1954) was covered in the blog three years ago. After that there was no progress till date because the seventh and final song was a rare song that was not available on line. When I checked this song up jst now, I found that the song had become available two months ago and few music lovers hade taken notice.
Here is this seventh and final song from “Rishta”(1954). Like the other songs of the movie, this song too is a solo song. This melancholic song extraordinaire glorifies “dukhiyaaree naaree” as was normal in Hindi movies of those days. The song is sung by S D Batish. Pt Phaani is the lyricist. Music is composed by K Datta.
Only audio of the song is available. My guess is that this song was picturised in the movie as a background song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
I have not been able to get a few words right in the lyrics of the song. I request our knowledgeable readers to help fill in the blanks/ suggest corrections wherever applicable.
With this rare song, all the seven songs of the movie have been covered. The movie “Rishta”(1954) thus gets YIPPEED in the blog.
