In Bollywood movies, it is just the hero who gets drunk. Ladies getting drunk is not considered a proper thing. So it comes as a big surprise to find both of them drunk and singing this drunkard song.

I have posted over 2400 songs in this blog already. I just realised that the iconic song “Mera Joota Hai Japani” is not yet posted. I will not call an oversight. In fact, it is a tribute to the quality and quantity of awesome songs that one can post so many songs and still many more great songs would still be left undiscussed.

“Hariyali Aur Raastaa” (1962) had Manoj Kumar and Mala Sinha in lead roles. This movie had some nice songs in it. I have posted three songs from “Hariyali Aur Raastaa” (1962) in the past.

There were two movies called “Chhaila Babu” that I know of. And incidentally, both these movies, which were made in 1960s and 1970s respectively, had the same music directors, viz Laxmikant Pyarelal.

I have posted three songs from “Chhaliya” (1960) in the past. I decided that I should watch the movie. When I watched it, I found that this movie has a few songs that I never knew about.

“Opera House” (1961) , which is a forgotten movie, starred Ajit and B Saroja Devi in lead roles. Since the movie was a B grade movie, its songs did not have the opportunity to get popular because not too many people got to listen to them.
