Hullo Atuldom
This post of mine is one of those where I love to combine two celebrities/artistes. In this article, I am taking up for discussion, an obscure Hindi film whose shooting started in 1971 but completely stopped in 1976 for multiple reasons. In the meanwhile, the director left the film. In 1993, the producer of the film took the task of directing the film and completed shooting within one year without the main actor. However, the film could be released only after 37 years from the date of the commencement of the shooting, on April 27, 2008, that too in few theatres of Maharashtra. The name of the film is ‘Yaar Meri Zindagi’ (2008).

Today’s song is from the film 25th July-(1951).
This is the second film in succession having a title, beginning with only a number, from which I have discussed songs. Surprisingly, as per the Film Title Index book by Hamraz ji, there are as many as 53 films , whose titles start with numericals, during the period 1931 to 2012. I am not considering film titles starting with “Ek”, because though a number, it is written in words – for example Ek thi Ladki etc. Such films are actually 206 in numbers for the same period. Mukesh and his Composers – 28
‘Kal Subah’ was an unreleased film which was in the making during the 70’s. It was also probably the film’s composer Binay Bhushan’s first and last film. The director was GS Madhup and the production house belonged to Shringaar Films. I could not fetch details about the actors in the unreleased film. I request knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie.

‘Well Done Abba’ (2010) was produced under the banner of Reliance Big Pictures and was directed by Shyam Benegal. The main actors in the film are Boman Irani who played a double role of twin brothers and Minisha Lamba in the role of his daughter/niece. Other major actors in the film were Sameer Dattani, Ila Arun, Ravi Kishan, Sonali Kulkarni, Rajit Kapur, Ravi Jhankal, Yashpal Sharma, Rajendra Gupta, Rahul Singh, Salim Ghouse, Lalit Tiwari, Ayesha Jaleel, Deepika Amin etc. The film was majorly shot in Ramoji Film City and Ibrahimpatnam village near Hyderabad. The film was premiered at the Montreal International Film Festival in August 2009. It was later shown at London International Film Festival in October 2009 and at Dubai International Film Festival in December 2009. The film was released in India on March 26, 2010.
