“Miss Bombay”(1957) was produced by Gulshan Bahl and directed by Kedar Kapoor for N C Films, Bombay. Back again, with another un-represented film from 1960s. The film being introduced today is ‘Ek Tha Alibaba’ from 1963. Obscure and unknown, nothing much is known about this film. Here are the details available in the Geet Kosh.
This film is listed as a fantasy film, produced under the banner of Shankar Movies. It is directed by Harbans. The film is actually a Dara Singh – Nishi starrer. The cast of actors besides the lead pair mentioned, includes Tiwari, Heeralal, Helen, Maruti, Naazi and Ram Singh. But it is strange that a Dara Singh film from 1960s is obscure. Generally, his movies are almost all available, apparently except for this one. Thankfully, the music is.
