Here is a superb “party song” from “Anita” (1966). I wonder if this should be called a cabaret song as well. It seems that the dance was supposed to be cabaret but the costumes of the dancers is very much that of classical dancers.

The music of “Chitralekha” (1964) was a labour of love for Roshan. He had great hopes that his music and the movie would be great success. But the movie as well as its music failed to win the approval of audience. Roshan was heartbroken.

While researching Shammi Kapoor’s songs, I was interested to find out who, apart from Rafi, had given playback singing for Shammi Kapoor. I came across a few songs sung by Manna Dey and Mukesh. May be I may find songs sung by a few more male playback singers.
